Found strength in actions that only courage achieves Never letting fate decide HISTORY the tl;dr: former [ REDACTED ] for [ REDACTED ], now running a bar and lounge at the edge of the galaxy, occasionally performing on stage, minding her own business if at all possible. not much is known about vee's birth or early years; left at an orphanage at the tender of age five (or so the staff believed) in one of the last remaining cities on earth; given a basic education, supplemented with reading pretty much anything she could get her hands on; discovered she had musical talent fairly young and was given some basic training on the piano, and expanded her repertoire from there, learning a variety of instruments (piano, guitar, violin, guqin, guzheng, zither, acoustic guitar, harp, various alien and otherworldly instruments - anything she could get her hands on; stringed instruments are her primary instrument family but she has some talent with woodwinds). at sixteen, she was recruited by a gentleman claiming to work for the government, tasked with entertaining at a dinner party. the dinner party was attended by [ REDACTED ] and [ REDACTED ]. that was the last night they were seen alive and the last night vee had anything resembling a normal life. over the next dozen or so years, she moves from one job to another, eventually leaving earth for alien planets and colonized outposts as the job requires. she goes in and comes out, either with her target dead or information in her mind. PERSONALITY smart and sharp, rather no-nonsense. she cares very deeply but rarely shows it, having learned that emotions can easily be used against her. keeps most people at a distance, although some have slipped through the cracks. has a large weak spot for fellow orphans (especially the ones she grew up with, if/when she ever encounters them). flirtatious when she wants to be, otherwise indifferent. very much a lesbian but has flirted with and feigned attraction to men for jobs. no tolerance for pranksters or trolls, although these are often the types she ends up befriending; not easily awed by flashy displays of wealth, power, or importance. quietly funny, although it takes some time before that shines through. music lover, with more talent than anyone has any right to possess at picking up instruments; silence is anathema to her, always humming or singing. this was trained out of her and now that she's out of her assassination organization, has fallen back into the habit of humming/singing. (she often has to remind herself about it.)
